Collins recommends these three simple exercises for facial yoga newbies with step-by-step instructions.

1. The owl

  1. Form a large “C” with your thumbs and forefingers.
  2. Place your index fingers just above and parallel to your eyebrows and your thumbs on your cheeks.
  3. Pull down with your index fingers while raising your eyebrows and widening your eyes.
  4. Hold the position for two seconds, relax and repeat.
  5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 three more times.
  6. Hold this position for 10 seconds.

2. Circle the eyes

The eyes are more than a window to our soul: they also broadcast a sleepless night to the world. Reduce dark circles and under eye puffiness and remove toxins with the following movements.

  1. Place your middle finger on the outer edge of your brows.
  2. Gently dab around the eyes, tracing the tops of the brows and continuing under the eye to the tops of the cheekbones.
  3. Continue tapping the inner corners of the eye.
  4. Repeat, moving in the opposite direction and making small patting motions. This aims to reduce eye wrinkles, increase circulation and relax the muscles.
  5. With your index fingers, gently stroke under the eyes four times from the nose outward to relax the eye area.

3. Gooseneck

Graceful and elegant, swan necks are a thing of beauty. This exercise lifts and tones the neck muscles and tightens lines and wrinkles on the sides of the neck and face.

  1. Look straight ahead with your chin up.
  2. Turn your head to the right, also with your right shoulder, and tilt your head back. Hold the position for six to eight seconds.
  3. Go back to step 1. Turn your head to the left and also with your left shoulder. He tilts his head back and hold for 6-8 seconds.
  4. Repeat the exercise three times.
